The Old Trails Fire has a charged defendant: Aaron Farinacci, 37, Texas, faces federal arson charges for “knowingly and maliciously” starting that fire. The causes of the Fairview and Autumn Lane fires remain under investigation. Investigators will examine whether all three fires were independently started — whether Farinacci set additional fires, whether other actors were involved, or whether two of the three fires had natural or accidental causes.
