THE COURTHOUSE STRIKE
Around 13 people were killed in a Rapid Support Forces drone strike on a courthouse in Umm Ruwaba, North Kordofan, according to Sudan Horizon. A courthouse is a civilian judicial facility — a protected site under international humanitarian law. A drone strike on a courthouse is an attack on civilian judicial infrastructure that cannot be characterized as a military target under any plausible IHL rationale.
