▸ Both Brent and WTI crude confirmed at $100 a barrel

THE FIVE FAILURE MODES — FULL DAY 37 UPDATE
▸ Israeli unilateral strike: SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED — Phase 1 ongoing; November elections; no benefit
▸ Iran enrichment violation: ELEVATED WATCH — unchanged; IRGC dual-base strike is military, not enrichment
▸ Iranian domestic collapse: SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED AS A NEAR-TERM RISK — IRGC is executing coordinated two-country simultaneous strikes; this is operational confidence, not collapse
▸ Gulf proxy incident: CRITICALLY ELEVATED — two US military bases in two countries struck simultaneously; this has crossed from proxy to direct Iranian military force against US military installations
▸ 60-day cliff: 23 DAYS — the dominant failure mode; Session 3 unscheduled; Trump indifferent to extension; IRGC Yemen condition named; dual-base strike makes diplomacy harder
THE OCTOBER 6 ASSESSMENT
ONYX’s Day 37 assessment of October 6 outcomes:
▸ Ceasefire extended with full terms: VERY LOW
▸ Ceasefire extended with modified terms: POSSIBLE but FURTHER REDUCED — the dual-base strike adds a new retaliation cycle before any session
▸ Ceasefire expires without replacement: ELEVATED TO PROBABLE unless something changes in 23 days
▸ Ceasefire collapses before October 6: MODERATE AND RISING — the dual-base strike is the specific trigger; US response determines this
THE ONE POSITIVE SIGNAL
Israel released Malek Ghazi from Lebanese custody. It is a small, specific, low-cost de-escalatory gesture on the war’s deadliest front. ONYX names it because accountability journalism covers what reduces violence as specifically as it covers what expands it. One prisoner. One hand to the Lebanese army. On the deadliest front. That is the specific positive signal of September 13, 2026.
Dual-base strikes. $100 oil confirmed. 14 missiles into Yemeni cities. 13 dead at a courthouse. One Lebanese prisoner released. 23 days to October 6. The five failure modes are updated. The arc has been documented every day. The arc continues.
THE FOOTER, DAY 37
Day 37 · 23 Days to October 6 · Kuhestak: Amir Ali Karimi, 4 · Mohammad Malahi, 16 · Investigation Announced — No Body or Timeline · 18 US Dead · 51 Days to Midterms.
The names remain. The investigation has been announced. The countdown continues. The arc does not stop.
