Chinese rescue teams at Gyirong Port on Day 3 had reported no recognizable structure remaining at the border crossing.
THE HYDROPOWER SITUATION
Four Nepali hydropower plants remain offline, with 211 megawatts of grid capacity lost. Nepal’s monsoon season — which provides peak hydropower generation — is in its final weeks; the plants’ offline status during this period represents a specific loss of renewable generation capacity at the peak of the hydrological year.
